In PEI’s fifth In Focus publication, the author examines how human coaching—an essential component of economic inclusion programs—can be scaled through the integration of digital technologies. Drawing on fifteen years of practice and iteration at Fundación Capital, the paper traces the evolution of e-coaching across three stages—offline edutainment tools, chatbot-based systems, and emerging AI-enabled solutions—and explores how hybrid models can expand reach while preserving the value of human support.
