Fiscal Year 2025 marked a defining year for the Partnership for Economic Inclusion (PEI) as it deepened its support to governments leading the scale-up of economic inclusion programs worldwide. Through grants, technical assistance, and knowledge partnerships, PEI engaged 71 governments, influencing $6.5 billion in World Bank financing and directly supporting 26 programs in 24 countries. Together, these initiatives have reached over 11 million people, advancing opportunities for women, youth, and vulnerable populations through integrated approaches that combine income support, skills training, coaching, and market linkages.
This year’s report highlights how PEI and its partners are turning innovation into systems change—from the launch of the Jobs for the Poor Impact Program, to new gender-responsive and climate-smart program models, to an expanded evidence base through the State of Economic Inclusion Report 2024. With a growing community of 107 countries and 791 policy stakeholders, PEI continues to drive global learning and collaboration. Looking ahead, the Partnership is focused on reaching 100 million people through government-led programs that build resilience, empower women, and create sustainable jobs for the poor.
